Fresh Water, Forests + Mountains
Crystalline
This is Kirkjufell mountain. In Iceland they tell you it is the most photographed mountain in the world. I'm not sure how they gage that, as I've been there several times and rarely are there more than one or two others hanging out down there. I would think Mt. Fuji, or Mt. Rushmore, Mt. Everest, Kilimanjaro, the Matterhorn, etc. probably get a few more pictures taken of it.
But alas, everything in Iceland they tell you is the most _________ in the world. It's kinda funny. I love Iceland, it truly is ONE OF the most amazing islands for photography in the world. However, is it the best? Well, I'm slightly biased to the one I live on.
Anyway, with all that behind us, Kirkjufell is indeed a beautiful mountain looking out over the frigid Atlantic waters to the west and the crystalline waters of this protected bay to the South and East.
