Il Duomo In Notte
There's a photographer that I admire very much who shoots a lot of architecture throughout the modern cities of Europe. Granted this architectural masterpiece is far from modern, but I tried to shoot it in a similar style, darkening the shadows to the point where lines get lost and texture is nearly erased. At the time, the Duomo in Florence, Italy was under construction and the top half of it was bathed in a sort of flood light coming from where the workers had setup their staging area. The strange lighting on the building at night made for a really cool composition with interesting textures and geometric lines.
