Nightscapes
It started out as a ten hour flight from Maui to Chicago. Then From Chicago to Rome was another 8 hours if I remember right. From there it was another 3 hours to get down to Palermo and get our rental car. Once we got it, we drove to Corleone, Sicily (because, you have to when you visit Sicily) for some pizza and paninis and then on down to Agrigento to find a hotel.
When we did finally check in to a place on the sea, we were exhausted. At this point we had been traveling for I don't even know how long and we were so over tired we couldn't even sleep. So, we found this super cool area with a bunch of ruins that were lit up at night. There was a wedding going on in the courtyard of some thousands of years old pavilion and while my wife watched that I shot columns like this and wondered what they used to be and how grand the civilization must have been. It was a perfect start to my wife's first trip to Europe!
