Vanishing Act

I watch the sunset pretty often here on Maui. And this field lined with palm trees that skirt the ocean is a popular place to congregate in South Maui. However, I've never seen anyone take an image like this from there before. I'm not sure why, to me it's a fantastic landscape and certainly worthy of a snap of the shutter.

This particular shot I took in 2014. I was pretty low to the ground and using a tripod to focus on the grass. I bracketed the images and then slowly started shifting my focus further and further towards the horizon. At the end of the shoot I must've had about 7 images that I stacked the focus on in order to get a super crisp image of a beautiful Hawaiian sunset.
