OK, talk about the perfect winter scene, is this it, or is this it? I would be willing to bet this is where Thomas Kincaid got his inspiration for his paintings. The place is just perfect.
On this day of shooting in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, I literally turned a bend and there it was. A perfect scene like something out of a painting that hung on my grandfather's wall. Only, this time it was more perfect than I had ever seen it in any painting, it was real. The light was just right, the snow freshly fallen and the winds still, leaving a crisp reflection on the water in front of this building.
This image took top honors at the 2016 International Photographic Competition put on by the Professional Photographers of America. It also received a Bronze medal in the 2016 Epson Pano Awards.
