Winter
In good conscience I can't recommend going here. Well, not to this exact spot, anyway. Not because it isn't amazing. It is. Not because it isn't extremely photogenic. It is. Not because you'll be the only one there. You will. Rather because chances are pretty good you might die.
You see, underneath my feet was probably about 2 inches of ice. Below that was a raging river. I don't know how deep the water is here, but based on how fast I could hear and feel the water moving below me, I'd imagine if I were to have broken that ice, I would've not only fallen in and probably gotten hypothermia immediately, but also been sucked under the ice and dragged for who knows how long.
With all that said, you're welcome. You're welcome for risking my life so that your eyes can see this amazing canyon in British Columbia. I was scared at the time, but once I committed to the shot, I had to see it through. And I have this problem where if I see something I know is special, I make the journey to capture it at all costs. This drive will probably be the death of me some day, but I hope it's a long, long time from now. However, if you don't see any new images from me for awhile, it's been a great ride...
